Davina Avery, Communications Assistant
Davina's duties include making financial arrangements and communicating with patients.
A native of New Jersey, she has lived in New York for 18 years. Her family includes mom Ruth, sisters Deeney and Danah, and nephew Reggie.
Outside the office she enjoys her four wonderful cats, collecting snow globes and playing cards with her nieces and nephew.
She is currently undergoing orthodontic treatment!
Mubashir Din, Financial Coordinator
Mubashir takes care of financial arrangements and insurance payments for patients and has worked in orthodontics with Dr. Shelton since 2006.
Mubashir enjoys observing how much of a difference fixing patients' teeth can make in their overall appearance and wellbeing.
Mubashir says Dr. Shelton has a passion for music and orthodontics, and the staff is personable and professional.
A native of Potomac, MD, Mubashir has lived in New York City since 1999.
Family members include father Ghunkim, mother Sukinu, and brothers Raja and Mohsin.
Also a professional musician, Mubashir is a songwriter for the independent band Zerobridge based in New York City.
Jascinth William-Smith, Office Manager
Jascinth manages positive financial and treatment experiences for Dr. Shelton's patients.
She has worked in the field of orthodontics since the age of 22 and has worked with Dr. Shelton since 1984.
Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is the satisfaction of patients when they see their before and after photos, and her
favorite thing about working with Dr. Shelton is the caring, mutual respect and desire to grow for all patients as well as the team.
Jascinth enjoys helping patients to achieve the goal of straight teeth and educating them about the health-related aspects of orthodontic service.
A native of Jamaica, she has lived in New York City since 1984. Her family includes husband Xavier, daughter Ashley and son Andrew. Outside of work she enjoys cooking.
Melissa Ramos, Treatment Coordinator
Melissa's duties include implementing all action-advised treatment and managing clinical inventory.
She enjoys helping people smile better and says that while working with Dr. Shelton she always learns new things. She also likes being part of the team.
Melissa is a native of New York and her family includes sisters Starlight and Amanda, brother Jonathan and mother Renny. When not in the office she likes to cook.
Danai Dominguez, Treatment Coordinator
Danai is our resident Invisa-leader, managing all Invisalign® cases and aligner inventory. She also implements all action-advised treatment and fits and inserts appliances and archwires.
Her favorite things about the practice of orthodontics are the beautiful smiles and boosting of patients' self image.
She appreciates Dr. Shelton's friendliness and willingness to teach the team new things and improve their skills.
Her favorite thing about her job is the team!
Danai is a native of New York and has lived in Manhattan all her life.
Her family includes brother Genaro, mother Lucia and father Otto.
Outside work Danai enjoys movies, hanging out with friends and family, and reading.
Judy James, Advanced Clinical Technician
Judy's duties include making retainers and cleaning the instruments.
She has worked in the field of orthodontics since 1980
and has worked with Dr. Shelton since 1989.
Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is using her hands, and she likes meeting people and being a member of Dr. Shelton's productive team.
Danae Marrero, Treatment Coordinator
Danae implements all doctor-advised treatment, fits and inserts appliances, and fabricates archwires.
She has worked in the field of orthodontics with Dr. Shelton since 2006.
Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is seeing how patients' mouths change from bad to perfect.
She likes working with patients and appreciates that Dr. Shelton explains steps while working.
A native of New York City, Danae has lived in Bronx for 23 years.
Her family includes mom Enid and brothers Sean, Jonathan and Joshua.
When not at the office she enjoys cleaning, movies, music and dancing.
Meykin Figueroa, Records Technician
Meykin is an expert at dental technology and orthodontic imaging and keeps digital records of all our patients. He has worked in healthcare and technology for the past 5 years.
Viviana Daus, Treatment Coordinator
Viviana implements all doctor-advised treatment, fits and inserts appliances, and fabricates arch wires.
